In the park
Villa Carlotta's park has distant origins; as early as 1700 it was referred to as a "viridarium", a place of evergreen trees. Characterised by the essential lines of the Italian garden, the access avenue is lined with hornbeam trees, which you can also find along the central avenue, where pairs of putti representing
arts and crafts will lead you to the statue of Neptune. The garden is also characterised by the presence of imposing Cedars of Lebanon, more than 450 years old, as well as specimens of Magnolia, Beech, Yew, Robinia, Lime and Spruce
